Hon. Domini SD. Velasquez

Usec. Domini SD. Velasquez currently serves as the Undersecretary and Chief Economist at the Department of Finance. With her extensive experience as an economist with over 15 years of experience in macroeconomic research and policy analysis, she leads the Office of the Chief Economist in fiscal policy recommendations, tax reform assessments, and the development of macroeconomic forecasting tools. 

Prior to her current position, she was previously the Chief Economist at Chinabank, under the Financial Markets Segment. She also spent a significant part of her career at the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), advising on the country’s development plan. 

Usec. Domini SD. Velasquez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Ateneo de Manila University and Master’s degree in public policy from both the National University of Singapore and the London School of Economics.
