Ms. Caroline Andrade is a Franchisee of McDonald’s Philippines in Tacloban. She has been a McDonald’s owner operator for 16 years.
Dubbed as ‘Ms. McDonald’s’ in Tacloban, Ms. Caroline Andrade has represented the Golden Arches through her love for the customer and active involvement in the community.
Her first McDonald’s restaurant located at the heart of Tacloban was completely washed away when Typhoon Haiyan hit the country.
She was determined to re-open her restaurant soonest possible to offer the community a respite from the tragedy. McDonald’s was one of the first establishment to re-open with more than P3 million in re-opening day sales, becoming a beacon of hope for the city and its residents.
In the following years, Ms. Andrade eventually opened three more restaurants - McDonald’s Real, McDonald’s Palo in Leyte, and in Robinsons Abucay.
The successful opening of her new McDonald’s restaurants was a testament to the brand’s strong presence in the area, her efforts in the local community and her strong restaurant team.
Ms. Andrade consistently demonstrates her passion for people. She goes way beyond her means to make sure her people are engaged, energized and equipped.
To date, she employs 67 managers and more than 300 crew members across her 4 restaurants.
As she continues her journey as a McDonald’s owner operator, she remains committed to the customer by fully supporting and advocating the McDonald’s brand that drive the customer experience.
Ms. Andrade is consistently recognized by McDonald’s for her work as an Owner Operator and how she has elevated the McDonald’s brand in her local community. She was also voted as Outstanding Regional Franchisee (Visayas Region) at the Franchise Excellence Awards in 2017 by the Philippine Franchise Association.
